Zinc – has good antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, improves wound healing and prevents infections.
Camphor – heals, cools, anesthetizes and dries.
Benzoyl peroxide – has an antimicrobial effect, which is actively used to fight acne. Has a keratolytic effect, stimulates oxygenation of tissues, inhibits the production of secretion by the sebaceous glands.
Azelaic acid – Weak inhibitor of tyrosinase, suppresses the synthesis of RNA and DNA and affects the activity of mitochondria in hyperactive and abnormal melanocytes, that is, it has a good lightening effect. Has good anti-inflammatory and bacteriostatic properties and reduces the hyperfunction of sebaceous glands.
Salicylic acid – a beta-hydroxy acid (BHA) that breaks down the protein bridges between cells in the stratum corneum. It also destroys the proteins of microbes on the skin – hence the antiseptic effect. Plus, it dissolves fats and easily penetrates sebaceous plugs, destroying bacteria and cleaning the skin. Salicylic acid is effective against C. acnes – the bacteria that cause acne. Reduces signs of aging such as wrinkles and fine lines on the skin.
Eucalyptus oil – antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, has a soothing and healing effect.
